    The information on Hitchcock is not entirley accurate--he preached only
    briefly on a regular basis, for example (he lost his church owing to ill
    health, then went more fully into geology), but (like George) it's mainly on
    target and I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill. I see the
    point about Hitchcock claiming that dinosaurs are birds--he did mistake
    saurod footprints for those of large, extinct birds (that was his actual
    claim). He did not discover these himself, incidentally, they had been
    found decades before by a workman; but he did sort of try to get credit for
    them. Naughty, but true.
