            There is nothing in Burgy's post that remotely suggests that he is "leaning
    toward a gulag-like solution." I trust that you will apologize to him for this.

            It has become rule of thumb in American political and cultural discourse that
    anyone who is reduced to playing the Hitler card will be considered to have lost the
    debate. I think that the same should be true for anyone who has to play the Stalin
    card.
