Hi Rich. In post http://www.calvin.edu/archive/asa/200307/0530.html you
quote me saying:
>Faith in God through Christ is the only way to heaven.
>Is this what you mean by "conformation to the Law?"
>If not, then it would seem that your argument has a fatal flaw.
You replied saying:
>I can't argue with you. for two reasons. Catholics and Protestants
>fight over that very issue. We say faith and works.
>I think some of you or all of you
>say faith alone, but its splitting hairs.
>If you have the faith, you do the
>works, although I agree outwardly good works
>does not indicate inner faith.
I think you missed my point. Yes, Catholics and Protestants argue over
whether faith alone or faith + works is sufficient for salvation, but that
"hair splitting" is not relevant to my question to you. You seem to be
oblivious to the fundamental Gospel message of salvation through faith in
Christ and his atonement on the Cross. Could you please comment on this for
me? Are you aware of the traditional Christian Gospel, as understood by both
Protestants and Catholics?
