This is an excellent point - When eve was created frm Adam's rib, each of
them became a unique entity, incomplete in itself - this caused them to DESIRE
one another. This enabled DESIRE to exist and led to the eating of the apple.
When they are joined, desire disappears, since in union is their wholeness and
completion. This is amply demonstrated in the nag hammadi texts when Jesus
speaks of making women "male" so they can be whole and enter the kingdom.
