You should ENCOURAGE Dennett and his gang to call themselves the "brights."
They'll regret it.
When the homosexual lobby took over the word "gay," it was already
becoming obsolescent, and had a campy feel.
"Don we now our gay apparel"; "Gay Par-ee"; "the Gay Nineties"
In other words, something else, somewhere else, or some time ago.
Often, the word appeared capped - a bad sign.
However, the word "bright" is in everyday use - and it means something
perilous for our Darwinist friends.
It means that they CLAIM to be smart.
Therefore, any situation in which they appear not to be smart counts
against them.
To succeed, they must convince society. They must be held in awe in a
working-class environment.
In a working-class environment, respected intelligence is practical
intelligence.
The term "bright" is in wide use to describe that condition. (Dawkins
and his human and canine friends may not realize that.) It means:
- Knowing what's wrong with your car.
- Knowing why the furnace won't fire.
- Sensing a scam, a sham, a trap, or a setup.
- Knowing that you don't really have rights; the establishment tolerates
you for now. Policy under review.
- If you are "really bright," you are a doctor who has found a cure or
relief for a disease.
By now, you can see where I am going with this. Any time that a
self-described "bright" proves to be less than he advertises - game over.
The stakes are too high.
Most of these self-anointed "brights" have likely never lived in the
conditions that require practical intelligence.
They will demonstrate that fact when tested.
So let them flatter themselves. If more of them fall from a higher
altitude, I guess that means more urban noise. Tough, eh?
