Hi Mike,

In my experience, this is about the weakest way to make your point.
"Go read some books, then you'll see what I mean." If your Ezekiel
passage disproved that Solomon ruled for 40 years, I wouldn't need
to go read some books. You could summarize your point in a public
discussion. You have failed. But, it seems that you have continued
to write. I will try to "slog" through it all.
>Because of what
>was long thought to be the clear meaning of the 390 years spoken of in
Ezek.
>4:1-5,
What was this clear meaning?
>However, this passage certainly refers to a 390 year period of
>the house of Israel's sin.
OK, fair enough.
>In your opinion, when did this 390 years of sin begin and end?
Now wait just a minute!!!! You are TELLING ME that Solomon didn't
rule for 40 years. The Bible says that he ruled for 40 years. Why
don't YOU tell me when the 390 years began and ended!!!! Then we
would have something to talk about. Who knows when this 390 years
began and ended? Perhaps it requires more study. BUT, you claim to
have studied this thoroughly. BUT, you are not enlightening anyone.
If you are going to criticize my posts, please SPECIFICALLY show me
where I am wrong!!!! These game-playing, questioning guessing games
are most annoying. I gave you very specific dates and very specific
Bible passages for my reasoning. The more that I read your post, the
more confused I get. That tells me that your case is confusing.
Please, specifically tell me your dates so that I have something concrete
to work with. I'm grasping at air. To be truthful, I feel that you are
playing mind-games with me. Perhaps you are trying to trick me into
making a statement that you can pounce on. Again, I posted specific
dates, with backup. You just ask questions. TELL me, when did the
390 years begin and end. And please provide your backup. Otherwise,
stop criticizing my posts!!!!
>What the Bible actually says is that Solomon "ruled 40 years over all
>Israel."
>This leaves open the possibility that Solomon may have actually
>ruled longer than 40 years, but that his additional years of rule were
years
>in which some people in Israel refused to submit to his rule and legally
>contested his right to rule after his first 40 years as king.
Oh, good grief! What backup do you have for this other than that you
want some way for Adam to be exactly 4,000 years before Christ?
Getting frustrated, and using up my posts for the day,
Jim
