Wendee wrote, in part: " I don't think there are any on list that think the
flood didn't happen at all, are there?"

I'd guess there are some. Tim, for one. Maybe me. At the least I'm a skeptic
that the described events ever happened in any way close to the biblical
description. That floods DID happen is, of course, not in question. But I'm
open on the subject, so I guess I'm between belief and disbelief.

If the flood account in Genesis is to be taken as descriptive of a real
event, then Glenn's theory that it happened 4,000,000 years ago at the
infilling of the Med seems to be the best model around.

BTW, some of the recent posts critical of Jim E. miss one point. If I were
to travel back to 30 AD in my yet-to-be-invented time machine and have an
origins discussion with Jesus (I'd have to learn Greek or Aramaic of
course), would I find out that he is a YEC?

I suspect that would be the case.
