To be precise, God revealed _himself_ in the cross-resurrection
event. Scripture gives us the apostolic witness as to (a) the fact that it
did indeed take place AND (b) its meaning.
Historical events are a crucial part of God's revelation which
scripture reports and expounds upon. It doesn't follow, however, that
everything in scripture which is in the form of a recounting of events, and
which thus appears superficially to be "verifiable" by historical study, is in
fact a report of events which actually took place.
Of course we have been through this many times and need not go another
15 rounds unless you think there's something new to add.
