To M.B. Roberts and Allen Roy

I believe that Allen is correct when he says that there are only 3 possible
depositional environments [marine, non-marine, and transitional]. What
else could there be? Now one could argue that a lot of different things
have been lumped together, but technically, this is correct. ;-)

In the same (tongue-in-cheek) fashion, we could use 3 similar categories to
    lump ...
    ... humans -- male, non-male, and transitional
    ... religions -- Christianity, non-Christianity, and transitional
    ... animals -- human, non-human, and transitional

And now that I've offended just about everybody, I think I'll crawl back
under my rock (slimy, non-slimy, or transitional and sedimentary,
    non-sedimentary, or transitional).
