    When one is convinced that "correction" is due in forums
    such as this one, not to forget that this is a *public*
    website and that egos (mine included) regularly get in
    the way. I forget that there is no greater idea or
    discovery than one's own: no matter how dumb or useless
    it may look to anyone (or even everyone) else.

    Maybe that would be a better attitude to take in refereeing
    scientific papers as well. That is also an issue of seeking
    truth.
