Herb didn't know Swahili either, so I've never learned it. However, under
his tuteledge I went from being profoundly and disfunctionally depressed to
being an active, outgoing church leader. I've written two novels in two
years, have learned to play African drums (in spite of the Swahili
shortcoming) and last month started learning belly dancing. In every way my
life is better than it was.

I'd like to see the reference for your statistics.
