I use the narrower definition because I have no problem at all with people
believing that some deity of their choice is the author of the universe and
everything in it. That leaves room for curiousity, science and
acknowledgement of reality. Genesis is a wonderful teaching tale, but it is
not scientific fact.
It's the denial of reality and the insistance that everyone *else* deny
reality (or the attempt to conceal reality from them) that gets me nuts and
keeps me in this conversation.
