There is a report in Nature this week concerning the dating of the Jinmium
Rock shelter in Australia. I have mentioned this in the past in support of
some of my ideas. Honesty demands that I note that the 120,000+ date for
the shelter (which would have been the oldest habitation in Australia) is
wrong. It now appears that the shelter is only 10,000 years old. A report
