It is not much of a stretch to make coal accumulation catastrophic. I think
the point Glenn has been making is that it would be useful to demonstrate
that the amount of plant meterial represented in coal (and for that matter
oil as well) can be accommodated on the preflood earth. That would be a
worthwhile exercise for someone.
