apology

Obviously, I lost my cool last night and I apologize to the group for that.
Please forgive me.

Darrin hoisted me on my own petard by citing the overwhelming silence thing.
I have learned my lesson. The overwhelming silence post was a post I wrote
when something I felt was very important was totally ignored. No one responded
at all. It was never meant to force a particular individual to respond but it
was in the form of an observation that Christians often get really quiet when
something that differs from their theology is presented. This observation I
still stand by. With this clarification I apologize to anyone who was offended
by that post.

I also apologize publically to Darrin Brooker, who received some overly harsh
remarks.

I want to say that anyone who having answered someone over and over on the
same issue only to be asked the same question again is not under any
obligation to answer the same thing once more. This should absolve me in the
future of being hoisted on my own petard of the charge that I am ignoring some
post.

This apology should not be construed as a capitulation on forms of argument in
which one thing is said publically and something else is said privately. Nor
should it be viewed as an endorsement of sneering, condescending comments
followed by smiley faces. Christian standards should be higher than that and
my behavior should have been better than my responses showed.
