To all:

I thought the members of this list might be interested in hearing about John
Polkinghorn's lecture at UVA this evening. He spoke on: Scientific Evidence
for an Intelligent Designer -- mostly he discussed the anthropic principle,
etc. The lecture hall (the main Chemistry building auditorium, seating, I
would guess, about 600-700) was packed out and questions were polite and
well thought out.

If any wish to respond to this e-mail, please post to me directly as I no
longer subscribe to this list.

All the best,
Elaine

in religion ('man's search for God'!) suddenly draw back.
Supposing we really found Him? We never meant it to come
to that! Worse still, supposing He had found us?"
