I apologize to Thomas Moore and any who were offended by my comments
concerning a survey in hell. He might be right that what I said was in bad
taste. I did not see it that way - and still don't.

Since Will is the one who has brought up the subject of hell (in private
communications) - clearly jokingly, not taking it serious - I very much
doubt he would find any offense in what I said. Whatever the case, I
reject Thomas Moore's assertion that what I said was an ad hominen: I was
unaware of Will's current state of health, and I know it was not meant
that way.

Tom went on to ask:

only survey that matters is the one after you die in which you'll find you
wasted your life?"<<

Clearly you missed my point - which was largely agreeing with what you
said.
