I can't, but I certainly would be interested in learning something about
this subject. I haven't really heard very much about index fossils from
paleontologists. Usually when I hear the term it comes from a creationist
who has problems with index fossils. So my first question is, do
paleontologists even use the term "index fossil" very much? Somehow "index
fossil" calls to my mind a list of a few fossils that paleontologists have
agreed are reliable daters of geological strata. But I suspect my
understanding needs to be supplemented.
