Glenn leaving?

I feel like the MC at a roast where one of the gang is retiring. All sorts of
good-natured wisecracks are in order ["I don't want to say Glenn is
overconfident in his positions, but he believes if he'd never been born God
would have a lot of explaining to do..." (sustained laughter, sound of
clinking glasses)...]

But seriously...

I admire original thinkers. You are one. I don't agree with most of what you
say, scientifically or hermeneutically, but no one can say you haven't worked
diligently and been a zealous advocate for you view.

To your sendoff messages, just a couple more clarifictions.

I don't believe we can ever get to God naturalistically. We can get close, but
faith is always the last ingredient. You asked, "How do we KNOW God did it?"
And the Bible's answer, ultimately, is faith. An informed faith, but faith
nonetheless. I don't have a problem with this.

As for saying I just don't believe it happened via evolution, well, that's
right. Grandiose claims for descent through modification have been made ever
since Chuck Darwin. They have no more basis now than they did then. Unitl we
have proof of mechanism, the evidence appears contrary to me. This is not
"drive by shooting." It is calling a theory to account.

Yes, we have prodded each other numerous times--and forgiven each other too,
which is more important. We are unified on the most important thing--our
Savior.

Enjoy your rest. I wonder how long it will last. This reflector gets in your
blood.
