I was referring to the contention that the writing of the Scripture
on science was was limited due to the scientific limitations of its
human authors.

What I was trying to point out was that such a suggestion about the
scientific content of the Scripture could also be (and often is)
used dismiss the moral views of Scripture.

I think what you wrote about sin and the Scripture is the case, but
then the science of the Scripture must not be limited by the
`intellectual context' of the authors either.

If the science of the Scripture is limited, I think it is perhaps
limited in the way you suggest, but what I was needling was the
notion that the issue was `intellectual context'.
