Animal ancestry of Adam's body

To the group:

My fingers have been itching to enter this recent thread on de novo Adam,
but, alas, I've been way to busy to get involved. This is the exact point
on which I have been charged with heresy in the OPC.

Some of you may be interested in looking at my appeal to the Presbytery
which I recently posted on the web. Appendix 3 addresses this issue. In
it I examine the argument of John Murray, the late systematic theologian
from Westminster Seminary in Philiadelphia; he presents in perhaps the
most forceful way the argument put forth by Russ Maatman and others. I
attempt to show why I think that Murray's argument is not the last word.
You can find it at

http://mcgraytx.calvin.edu/gray/evolution_trial/evolution_appeal.html

It's about 74 kB in its HTML form. There's not a lot of fancy formatting,
but if you have a reasonable Web browser, it should look okay.

Russ, I'd be particularly interested in your reaction, knowing your opinion
and what you have written in Pro Rege, the CRC Synodical report, and in
your book on evolution. By the way, Russ, you do realize that
anthropological dualism is part of Reformed orthodoxy, both in the
Continental and in the British tradition, don't you? The Dooyeweerdian
anthropological monism is part of Dooyeweerd's theological deformation :-)
