*** Response to Jeffrey S. Kramer --

Sometimes analogies help us see something, they help us teach. Sometimes
analogies are not apt, and tend to mislead or confuse, rather than teach.
Jeff gives such an analogy in his example of the two detectives and the
Catwoman thief. His analogy is harder to track that the original biotic
message situation it was intended to model. Also, his analogy has the
obvious failing that a thief has different goals and motives than a biotic
message sender. In all, it's not worth slogging through his misplaced
analogy.
