Jim, since you just re-subscribed to the reflector you missed the post which
started the allele ruckus. on Aug 13, in a post entitled"Glenn's book
(reviewed by..." I specifically mentioned that there could be no more than 10
alleles at any one position at the start in humans. In mice, which are
unclean, you are talking about a max of 4. I only point this out for the
record. My calculations on this problem have taken the 5 independent people
into account.
