This reminds me of an interesting experience I had in college. I was at the
second debate ICR staged. It was at Oklahoma University in January of 1973.
I was a dumb frat-rat who had just become a christian. Gish and Morris were
on the creation side, and Frings and Kitts were on the evolution side. Kitts
had been poorly informed of what the debate was about but he handled himself
very well on the fly. Frings was very good.

Even though I was a YEC at the time, I thought the evolutionists did better.
I was disappointed. Several of my Christian friends were also disappointed.
Years later I read the ICR account of the debate. I do not think we were in
the same universe much less the same auditorium.
