RFaussette@aol.com posted (in part): "The campaign to legitimize homosexuality at the expense of Christianity is occurring in all the developed countries and supported by the far left in those developed countries."

burgy:
Since many Christians support some measures to "legitimize
homosexuality," and since Christian churches exist who not only welcome these brothers and sisters of us "straight" folks, but see no problems in them being elected to high church offices, the post above casts a false
either-or picture.

rich:
Burgy, your characterization of seeing no problems in homosexuals elected to high church offices is what casts a false either or picture. The Anglican Church split in pieces over this. Is this not a "problem" for you? A lot of things exist. Communists exist. That doesn't make them "right."

In the case above, the only case I will repond to because it is the only case under discussion, Burgy wrote: "Of course, most folks now see that the "far left" was in the "right.""

I have to say the far left may be influencing the churches but that influence is anything but "religious."

Homosexual scandals have rocked the biggest churches, bankrupted some Catholic dioceses, and it is because homosexuals got into high office and covered up activities of other homosexuals. Not a problem? Just a natural evolution?
