    I am teaching a SS class beginning 9/14 (for 3 weeks) to High School
    (grades 9-12).

    I'm showing a video on the "powers of ten" which shows the universe size.

     I am working on a time scale to show the universe age. For this last
    one, I'm vacillating between a scale equating 13.5BY to (1) a football
    field, (2) a year and (3) a 24 hour day. The year scale I've used twice
    before -- I'm not altogether happy with how it is received -- a link to

    The third measure I intend to use is the age of "spiritual humanity."
    For this I expect to be using Glenn Morton's data. This, of course, may
    be the most controversial. Again, comments welcomed.
