The last sentence I wrote this morning needs clarification. In the YEC
model with everything being created in six days, and death beginning
after the Fall, the Burgess shale fossils, and all other fossils, are
reckoned to be post-Fall. Therefore, if fossiliferous units exist below
the Alberta reefs, and if those underlying units are considered to be
Flood deposits, then the overlying reefs must either be Flood deposits,
or, if they are pre-Flood overlying Flood deposits, then the reef rocks
must have been thrust over the Flood deposits after the Flood.
