    There is no official document of the Catholic Church that teaches
    that she has the authority to re-interpret or change the bible. On
    the contrary, if you have ever read the Catechism or the Vatican II
    document Dei Verbum, you will realize that the church has to be
    faithful to what is taught in the bible and can never contradict
    Scripture.
