Perhaps in this so very "difficult passage.." we are given a glimpse of =
the
mind of God.
Especialy when God's instructions to Abraham not to harm the boy are =
read
with what the Lord says through the prophet Jeremiah 19, at verse 5,
"They have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire =
as
offerings to Baal-something I did not command or mention, nor did it =
enter
my mind."
God willing to sacrifice himself/his own son once for all, and =
specifically
forbidding the same in return, indeed, never even considering it. =
Through
grace, greater, amazing love.
