    ANNOUNCEMENT OF FACULTY VACANCY
    Department of Chemistry/Physics

    POSITION:
    A search is in process to secure a qualified faculty candidate for a vacant
    position for the Fall of 2000. The appointment is for a full-time tenure
    track position.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Tenure track position. Ph.D. in Chemistry (ABD considered). Academic
    preparation to teach organic chemistry, chemistry labs, and physical science
    (non-majors). Candidate should have strong teaching skills at the
    undergraduate level. Must be committed to spiritual mission of the college,
    and be in agreement with college Statement of Faith. Women and minorities

    ACADEMIC RANK:
    Negotiable, depending on qualifications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Teaching organic chemistry and physical science courses, student advising,
    and appropriate committee assignments.

    COMPENSATION:
    Compensation is competitive and negotiable dependent upon education and
    experience. Benefits include retirement (TIAA/CREF) and insurance plans.

    DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY / PHYSICS:
    The department offers undergraduate majors in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and
    pre-engineering. There are five full-time positions in the department.
