Randy Ingermanson's "Who Wrote The Bible Code" is an excellent treatment
of the whole Bible Code phenomena. Essentially answering "no one - there
isn't one", he does it without being a wet blanket, unscientific, and
giving a very good witness (IMHO).
His web site is an excellent source of analysis vis a vis the Bible Code
industry - he also gives away his own analysis software.
This page has thoughtful reviews of a wide range of the books.... and
movies. Read his amusing review of the Omega Code as a book AND movie.
