Keith Miller asked about William Lane Craig. Prof Craig, who now teaches (I
think) at Talbot School of Theology Southern California, is one of the
finest Christian philosophers in the world. A search on a good database
should bring up lots of things he has written, including a book-length
debate he did some years ago, about interpreting the big bang and other
aspects of modern science, with an atheist philosopher. If he were coming
to my area, I'd make plans to hear him.

Dr Craig may also be (I'm not entirely sure) an advocate of ID. At any
rate some of his work has been supported by Steve Meyer's think tank. But
his thinking on this isn't going to be shoddy, unless one believes (as I
don't) that ID is shoddy by definition.
