Whoa; wait a minute here. What is this? The creation week occurred
somewhere between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago.... BUT your personal
position is that this applies ONLY to the creation of life. and NOT TO THE
BEGINNING OF THE UNIVERSE???????
Just when would you date the creation of the universe, and how would you go
about determining that date? Do you not realize that there is an entire
army of YEC advocate that would rake you over the coals for saying such a
thing?
I have posted before on this list that I am not a real YEC, but rather a
Flood Catastrophist. I have many sympathies with the YEC position. My
friends on CRSnet, which is YEC heaven, are aware of my somewhat aberrant
position and we have had interesting discussions from time to time. Our
over-riding common interest is Flood Catastrophism and so they put up with
me. I don't make a big deal of my position. I am not the only one around
with this concept. There are some on this list who have similar ideas.
I'll let them identify themselves if they wish to do so.
I have no set opinion on the age of the universe, though I have no trouble
with millions and billions of years.
