Thanks much for the many references given. I looked at Baumgardner's Web
Page but do not have the background to understand it. But in reading the
report in the June 16 USNews & World Report I got "the REST of the
story."

What the story in SBC Life left out is that if you feed the right
initial parameters into the program you can produce a Noah's flood 6000
years ago earth, but you can also produce a 4.6 x 10^9 years earth. To
get Noah's flood Baumgardner uses a theory called runaway subduction
which requires a different physics. For instance, according to
Baumgardner, you would need a rapid radioactive decay during the flood.

I have plenty enough information to write to the SBC Life editor. Thanks
