regularly concepts from information theory are discussed on this listserver
in relation to other topics.
I would like to learn more about this subject.
Thus I wonder whether some of you know of books to recommend.
I know many books discuss inforation theory in relation to data compression,
and although I work with data compression at the moment this is not what
I am interested in.
I am more looking for a book dealing in depth with socalled "fundamentals"
of information theory, and maybe relating information theory to
concepts like "order" and "complexity".
I already have Yockey's book. That one is related to molecular biology, but
I would like to get a more general book.
Any suggestions out there ???
