Upon further reconsideration it seems that *maybe* Noah's ark *would* float
on a liquid ocean. It's just that the liquid would not be water; it would
be molten rock. I'm not a geologist so I don't know the melting point of
various rock types (and would have to look them up to be sure), but I expect
that the melting point of typical rocks would be less than the surface
temperature if that temperature was well over 1800 K. Too bad today's woods
are not as tough as antediluvian gopher wood. Noah must have been quite an
expert with air conditioning.
