Christian Nobelist(s)?

I also suspect that few Christians are Nobel scientists because of the
one-dimensionality that seems to be associated with intense work in science.
This is not a hard and fast rule, of course. An exception from the Jewish
community, e.g., would be Roald Hoffmann, a very fine man with many
interests, including the relatinonship of science/religion.

Dr Phillips went to high school 10 miles from Messiah, in Camp Hill, PA.
One of his former science teachers is a member of my church; he speaks very
positively of Dr Phillips as a human being. Dr Phillips graduated from
Juniata College, which still has some ties (not very strong) to the Church
of the Brethren. His mother lives in a retirement community, Messiah
Village, that is close to campus and operated by the tiny denomination that
started Messiah, the Brethren in Christ -- who are, ironically, NOT related
to the Church of the Brethren, in spite of the similar name.
