I was going to reply to the messages OT vs NT, but since most of the things
I intended to say, have been said already, I will not. Only two points:

1. Psalm 51 and the episode leading up to it is OT, but it shows most
powerfully a God of grace.

2. A proper understanding of the NT is impossible without knowing the OT.
Think for example of the words being used, and their meaning. One, if not
the most basic, reason for misunderstandings and consequent splits in the
one church of Jesus Christ, to which we all belong, is that we read into NT
words meanings, which we derive from the Greek philosophical foundations of
our society and universities. Sorry, for the long sentence. Also for the
basic thoughts behind it, for which I do not (yet) take time to explain at
the present time. Sooner or later I will try that again.
