definition of concordism

I use the following definition of concordism
in my classes; the wording has been chosen to
reflect the historical connection with Bacon,
Galileo, and Kepler; also with 19th century
New England geologists (such as Silliman, Hitchcock,
Dana). They liked to use the language of God's
books.

Concordism = the book of nature and the book of
scripture are telling the same story, though in
different languages.
