Interesting....
Every reference I had so far seen has been to "hacking" - so why is it
"certain" that this is an inside job?
I know from their press-release <http://tinyurl.com/yfdxeo9> the
institution concerned has launched an internal investigation - but
surely that's par for the course? Their Univ. of East Anglia is,
according to that press release, not saying anything that casts any
light on the issue.
On the other hand, the fact that one has to launch an investigation
means, does it not, that the source is unknown and hence whistle-blowing
is ruled out by definition?
Perhaps we need to add "leak" as a third category of activity which lies
somewhere between "whistleblowing" and "hacking"?
What fun!
Blessings,
Murray
