Yes! meaning is what I was trying to get at and not merely Shannon
information. How would one describe what process and components would
be required in the primordial soup to kick start life and remember that
many of the components are made by other complex processes as David C
pointed out in this thread. I was also trying to point out how fragile
meaning can be where changing a , to a . could radically alter the
meaning or in terms a compiler writer would use, the semantics.
Machines can be quite robust but also fragile in exactly how they
operate and are built. Almost always that robustness is a design
characteristic, at least in complex systems.
