Cameron has achieved an overlap of the ID set and the TE set because he
has limited the defining characteristic for membership of the ID set,
and thereby expanded the set. that can be labeled ID. I understand that
Cameron has studying ID only since the publication of Behe's 1995 book.
For many TE's like myself it is hard to dissociate the term ID from the
writings of Phillip Johnson and the "wedge" agenda of the Discovery
Institute from 1991 which established what was then the defining
characteristic of the ID set. In my opinion Johnson's formulation of ID
was most unfortunate, and I welcome the move that Cameron has now made.
I also appreciate the use of Christian names on this forum. I have had
to get used to having my surname mis-spelled as Neild :-)
