That last line ought to qualify as fairly irrefutable. :->
More seriously, though, the trick is to get past the political panic of all the
horrible things that will, no doubt, happen to us, and start asking ourselves
how we can be stewards for our neighbors here and now, and for the next
generation(s) that are coming along.
