My apologies for letting my frustration get the better of me.

Personally I feel it is probably time I said goodbye to the list. I
have time and again found that folks do not read what I have said or
twist it round. I've received foul abuse off-list from a lurker,
including four letter words (this from a Christian Minister). I've
about had enough. I don't think it's possible to have much of a
civilised debate here any more. I've learnt a lot, but sadly a lot of
it has been about the inadequacy of the internet as a debating forum.

I do find this kind of thing intensely frustrating. Perhaps the fault
is mine and I should retire from the debate.
