Re: [asa] chromasome fusion #2 (how vs. did, YEC/OEC's proved wrong)

What the chromosome fusion represents is an example of a feature in
humans that seems to be obviously produced via ordinary, "natural"
methods. Why intelligently design a chromosome and then glue it onto
another rather than making the whole thing in its final form?

However, the fusion in and of itself does not directly tie humans to
apes. It indicates that ancestors of humans had a different
chromosome arrangement, one identical to that found in apes in number
(I'd guess also matching in other features such as approximate size
and position of centromere, though I don't know for certain). The
overall match in chromosomes provide support for the idea of common
ancestry; the similarities in DNA sequence, morphology, and behavior
provide an enormous amount of support for the idea that our physical
bodies have a common origin with apes.
