I sharpened the analogy to sharpen the point that one can be certain that an event happened while knowing absolutely nothing of the details about how it happened. That is still the point I'm contributing to the discussion. YEC/OEC's need to learn this, because it is a main arguments they lean on:

"Know one was there to see it (so my ideas are just as valid as yours)"
"You can't explain how it happened (so I can continue rejecting this with intellectual honesty)."

These are irrelevant (false) objections to the analysis of the DNA data that demonstrates the event actually happened.

Fused human chromosme #2 clearly demonstrates descent of humans from an apelike creature. This is macro evolution. YEC/OEC's reject macro evolution. Therefore, all YEC/OEC's are wrong on this major point of theirs. If they accept this evidence, they will also need to change their theology accordingly, and will become TE's (since accepting macroevolution is against the law for YEC/OEC).

None of this extra information was in your original account, and
David's explanation was perfectly consistent with what you said
originally.

Is that the way you argue to make your (rather obvious) point? By
moving the goalposts?

I'm beginning to realise it just isn't worth arguing with you.
Cameron said that he would no longer reply to your emails. I am the
same now. I will make discussion with people who are reasonable, but
with you I am just wasting my time.
