[asa] ASA meeting field trips

As people sometimes join the field trips at the last minute, it might
be useful to remind people going to the meeting that it is hot in
Texas in July and August. If you are going on a trip outdoors, don't
forget to pack sunscreen, water bottle, etc. If you are going on the
geology trip to the Paluxy River, be prepared for possible mud or
water. There is a swimming hole, though I don't know if time will
allow much use of it. There are also some rare birds that occur at
the park, so it may be of interest to people who prefer their
dinosaurs alive with feathers instead of as fossil footprints.

Those who sign up in advance for the Paluxy trip will receive
additional information, but in case anyone is thinking about it, but
hasn't actually signed up, I thought the general notice might be
useful. (I thought about sending this to ACG, but I suspect that the
geologists already know what to expect.)
