My father tells me that when the space race began (and a dog but yet no
men) had gone to space an old lady in his church told him they never
would. Her argument was based on Babel and the verse where it says "He
has set their bounds and limitations".

Reg the rainbow. The bible does not say, nor does it (to me) imply, that
it was the first. It waschosen as a sign for that time.
