Giving even greater credence for ice core dating, an Antarctic ice core
reveals a nice correlation between supernova events and the ice core age
dating method. They found spikes of the nitrate ion at the 1006 AD and the
1054 AD level, which were recorded times for supernova. Also, the ~ 11 year
Solar cycle was also found.
