I think it's helpful to think about the spectrum of views along more
than one axis.

We have the traditional YEC-OEC-ID-TE/EC spectrum that we are debating
here. On that axis I alone I'm probably at pretty much the same spot
as the Haarsmas, Howard Van Till, Ted Davis and George Murphy: we're
all TE.

However, there is at least one other axis of separation that is
perhaps almost exactly perpendicular: Calvinist (Reformed) to Arminian
(Open Theism) to Process Theology to Deism. The aforementioned people
separate significantly on this axis.

And there are probably at least a couple of other useful dimensions by
which we could discern noteworthy differences in our views of
science-theology and the God-world relationship. For example, it may
not even be fair of me to have put ID into the first axis. Some ID
people are really TE in that they believe that all things really did
evolve (i.e., no special creation was needed, only God's providential
determination of the unlikely (but materially possible) outcomes).
